Kupon consists of Matthew Roberts, a first year student studying Digital Media at the North Wales College of Art and Design.
Matthew previously spent a successful fifteen years writing and producing house and techno music, remixing dozens of artists including U2, The Killers, Underworld, Jamiroquai and releasing numerous underground records on Junior Boys Own. It over these years Matthew got really into fusing creativity with technology; initially interested in graphic design for screens, Matthew now considers motion design a logical way forward, especially when synchronised with sound.
Over the last college year I have looked at many of the aspects of digital media production alongside some traditional media. Projects covering the basics in motion graphics, interactive and web design, identity design, character design, mono and screen printing, photography and film language projects helped to gain an insight into the various disciplines within the creative industry and gain first hand experience using industry standard software.
